What comes to your mind when someone mentions affiliate marketing? Personally, I see a system of earning money while asleep. Wow, I’ve even written a guide to affiliate marketing with perfect strategies. Has it ever worked out for you? Yes or no, the devil is in the details below…

Today, I come out to tell you the truth. This is from the bottom of my heart, having been a digital nomad for over 10 years. If affiliate marketing earnings are really true, why would the affiliate marketers rather launch their own products and invite you to be their affiliates?

Many affiliate marketers have turned out to start selling their books, guides, tips, and other items. Why? The affiliate earnings were peanuts. Competition is stiff and a small percentage clicks the links. Again. after clicking the link, only a few make purchases. The parent companies even promise you 1-year-old cookies will work. Hehe, that’s a big lie honestly.

Ask anybody claiming to have earned that much if they can share with you a live video screen of their PayPal, you’ll get 1 out of 1000. Then why do you still buy the idea? Think of someone who earned $100,000 affiliate commission, did you ask him the expenses he incurred on paid traffic?

It still doesn’t make sense, why wirecutter could be sold to the New York times at $30 million. Listen, they claimed that a year before the sale, they generated revenue of $10 million. Why would someone offer you thrice of what you achieved for a year and you accept? Why would Wirecutter claim to have made $150 million between 2011 and 2016 then sell their website for only $30 million? Honestly, there’s a thin line of distinction between a lie and truth. 99% truth with 1% lie makes it a lie.

I know of friends who have made much through affiliate sales. But the strategies are not just to sit down, promote a product and let your earnings increase. If you think that the chorus of being patient and you’ll earn much, don’t be fooled. You won’t be rich by being only an affiliate marketer. Take this to the bank.

I know you’re contented with what you earn but there’s something you can do. Think of digital marketing as a wide industry. You should by now be investing in both affiliate, email, and SMS marketing. If you only depend on affiliate marketing, I can tell you that it’s a scam. It only becomes legit when you diversify. Think of click funnels, my friend.

Until this point, I have to tell you that those who genuinely earn much from affiliate marketing always go extra mile. They advertise to get quality leads on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google, TikTok, Quora, and other platforms. They also have automated follow-up for their email leads. Otherwise, they don’t only depend on a single source. I know organic traffic is important but if there existed another English as “importanter”, it’s paid traffic.

Sabri Suby of King Kong will tell you he even goes an extra mile of making phone calls. Then you want to sit there and wait for organic traffic because your articles are ranking high on search engines?

Listen carefully, I don’t want to make this article long. Because I know you have other things to read. I have a detailed guide for free on affiliate marketing and I’m not promising you that it’s the only way of earning money. In fact, you need to venture into email marketing right away and paid traffic.

I know I touched on someone, I’m ready to receive the stones in the comments section. Be sure, I walked with my helmet so and David’s sling. React now.
